Debi Graham – Country Financial
“I began my career with Country Financial in 2001, by way of luck to some degree. Did I dream of becoming an Insurance Agent or Financial Advisor? No. However, it has become my passion to help people achieve their goals and dreams and tackle the everyday obstacles that come their way financially.
My day to day consists of meeting new people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Each one having a unique story with their own driving factors which present various challenges. Many of my clients have become friends, and many are like family. I am blessed to share in their joy and at times, their pain. When recommendations are aligned with an overall plan we’ve created together, my clients feel more secure, and better equipped to overcome trauma or crisis related to finances, I feel that I’ve succeeded and fulfilled the obligations of my position.
Shortly after I started my new career, our nation was rocked like it had never been rocked before. September 11th, 2001, changed my perspective on a lot of things. Suddenly, I felt very small and helpless. The reverence I feel for firefighters was sparked that day. The respect, gratitude, and awe that I feel for them goes deeper than mere words can express. In 2008, a firefighter joined our family. With that, I have learned a great deal about the true journey of a fireman. Not only what they face, but the sacrifices that their families make as well. My desire to give back has been in the making for a very long time.
In 2019, a couple of my colleagues and I met with Fire Chief Shawn White to see how we could best serve our local firefighters. It was then that I learned about the HFBA. What a great way to give back to those that give of themselves daily and provide for our community. I have seen firsthand how a disabled public servant has benefited from an organization such as the HFBA and the assistance they provide. If I can be a small part of helping the HFBA, my heart is full and providing for our community is part of being a responsible local business owner.”
